The eight teams of the rebooted XFL that returns in February 2023 revealed their uniforms for the upcoming season.
On Wednesday, the league announced it had secured a partnership with Under Armour to be the exclusive provider for all on-field uniforms and revealed the appearances of the uniforms on ESPN’s ‘SportsCenter.’
‘We have been closely collaborating with (Under Armour’s) exceptional talent to ensure these uniforms reflect the dynamic energy of each team and are engineered to deliver state-of-the-art athlete solutions to drive player performance while also prioritizing health and safety,’ XFL chairwoman and owner Dany Garcia said Wednesday in a statement. ‘We hope our fans are as excited about these uniforms as we are — we can’t wait to see our players hit the gridiron in them this February.”
The eight teams that will compete this season are the Arlington Renegades, Houston Roughnecks, San Antonio Brahmas, D.C. Defenders, Orlando Guardians, Seattle Sea Dragons, St. Louis Battlehawks and Vegas Vipers. The league had introduced the team names and logos in an October announcement. The draft was held last month and included the selection of several former NFL veterans.

The rebooted XFL will be the latest spring football league to attempt to gain traction in the U.S., and it figures to be competing directly with the new-look USFL for second-tier talent next season.
Kickoff is scheduled for Feb. 18, 2023, the weekend after the NFL concludes its season with Super Bowl LVII.
In May, the league signed a multi-year agreement with ESPN and The Walt Disney Company, giving the network exclusive broadcasting rights for all gameday content starting in 2023 through the 2027 season.
The XFL made its first return under former owner Vince McMahon in 2020. But five weeks into the season, the pandemic shut down the campaign. The league, after filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, was sold to Dany Garcia and investors at RedBirdCapital Partners that includes Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson for $15 million in August 2020.
